OUR STAFF

CO-PASTOR

DAWN DICKIESON-LÉGER (she/her)

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Dawn came to Harbor with a professional curiosity about online churches and ministries, and, more broadly, new and creative ways to envision and create spiritual community. With over 20 years of parish and chaplaincy, she is a priest in the Anglican Church of Canada, Dawn also pastors a small church on the beautiful Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia. She is slowly building her home garden with veggies and flowers and volunteers at her local Farmers' Market and community gardens. She also knits, hooks rugs (also known as a "hooker"), and enjoys contemplative photography.

Dawn holds a PhD in Human Relationships from Martin Luther University College and a Master of Divinity from Atlantic School of Theology.

CO-PASTOR

JON MATHIEU (he/him)

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Jon Mathieu’s prodigious beard is like a scary-looking representation of his curiosity, sense of humor, and desire to build community. When you talk to Jon, these things are visible and ever-growing, as if bursting out of his face in all directions with no signs of grooming.

Jokes aside, Jon received his M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary after ministering full-time for 11 years in conservative evangelical contexts. During his long and painful breakup with that tradition, it became clear that while Jon still believes in God and follows the way of Jesus, he needs to work (and exist) in progressive and inclusive spaces.

Jon also serves as the community engagement editor for the Christian Century.

COMMUNITY ADMINISTRATOR

BRANDI CORTÉS-HICKSON (she/her)

St. Johns, Florida

Brandi joined Harbor in the summer of 2023 after deconstructing twenty years of conservative evangelical beliefs. She immediately fell in love with the community and served on the Harbor Leadership Council for two years before joining the staff as Community Administrator.

Brandi brings decades of organizational and resource management experience along with graphic design, website creation, and social media administration.

She is an avid crafter with a deep love of fiber arts and spends much of her time embroidering, weaving or crocheting while cuddled up with her dogs or cat. When not crafting or working, you can find her reading, playing video games, hanging out with her husband and adult kids, or cooing over her grandchildren.
